Firefighter 2 is certified firefighter with 2-4 years' experience. This position works a 48/96 schedule as part of a shift team. Successful candidate(s) will assist in providing fire prevention, protection, and a safe and effective emergency response to personnel and facilities. Other responsibilities include assisting in the administration of emergency medical treatment, inspection of building fire systems, conducting motor test standbys, burning ground standbys, training, flare drops, special assignments, animal control, evacuation drills and all other duties assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Fire Department Requirements: Must be able to work in confined spaces, elevated areas and hazardous locations wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must be able to meet sight, hearing, and physical response comparable to NFPA 1582 chapter 6 and chapter 9.
